WASTEWATER TREATMENT CHEMICALS
BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT

As an efficient and correct method, Biological treatment plants are designed after Chemical treatment plants with different aeration systems in which bacteria naturally remove biological pollution. Waste water, free of its chemical and inorganic load has almost biological contamination (BOD).  These organic impurities are defined as BOD, TOC and COD and can be easily calculated according to oxygen demand. In aeration systems, aerobic bacterias that are living in oxygenated enviroment carry out the treatment process by digesting and breaking down these contaminants. For bacteria to work efficiently, minimum amount of inorganic pollution must come into the system, aeration systems must work properly, and the bacterial population must always be kept at the appropriate rate. No chemical products are directly added into such a sensitive treatment; generally, the chemicals used are for sludge dewatering after the final sedimentation. Sludge dewatering can be a difficult process due to variable sludge composition. If the products are not used at right molecular weight and charge, there can be overdosing, and thus  transportation and disposal costs can increase.

That's why, as Caran water technologies, we produce Anionic and Cationic flocculants in Emulsion form for the specific needs of end users. We produce and supply the most suitable product to our users in the fastest way, determined by our mobile laboratory in the field.

COAGULANTS

It is generally used in thickening tanks to thicken poorly formed biological sludge before being fed to dewatering equipment (Filter press, Belt Filter, decanter centrifuge and similar).

Caran Water Technologies, which cooperates with chemical companies that develop international utmost technology, also includes in its portfolio powder products that can provide solutions in different structures.

Caran Water Technologies, which produces linear and/or branched flocculants with very high molecular weight in emulsion form for the first time commercially in Turkey, designs products that are easy to use and can be applied with low dosage to obtain drier sludge in sludge dewatering applications in wastewater plants.

DEFOAMERS

Foam formation is frequently observed in biological treatment facilities that are caused due to aeration, gas release by bacteria, or ineffective pre-treatment. However, in this treatment facility, where aeration is very important, silicone-based defoamers are not used. Oil-based products that regulate surface resistance should be used as defoamer.
